Originally from the Forest of Dean, Cassie has always been a creative project person. A degree in Fashion Photography moulded her style with a love of twilight photography and vintage fashion.
Cassie set up Dig Haüshizzle a decorative antique store with her husband Edward in 2010.
A distinctive interior style was established through Cassie’s work with antique and vintage furniture. Through decorating her own home to styling for other people the interior requests became more frequent and in 2019 set up Cassie Nicholas Studios.
In 2019 Cassie was the winner of Interior Design Masters a BBC and Netflix show hosted by Fearne Cotton and judged by Michelle Ogundehin.
“I really never thought this would be the kind of thing I would do but so glad I said yes, from start to finish I loved everything about taking part in interior design masters. There were times it broke me, times I never thought I would finish, a crisis in confidence and a hell of a learning curve in designing for commercial clients.
The people I met from crew to the other designers were utterly amazing and I learnt so much from them all. I always took the experience as a chance to learn and I loved getting to try so many ideas in quick succesion.
Winning the competition was an overwhelming whirlwind feeling that I am sure I will never feel again. I am really excited to explore the field of interior decorating as well as continuing my passion for being an antiques dealer. The experience has made me more confident as well as adaptable, I have so much more belief in what can be achieved in such a small amount of time and feel so full of knowledge handed on by Michelle Ogundehin and all the guest judges and the other designers too.
Cassie now works within both residential and commercial interior design. Alongside interior design she works as a product and interior photographer and stylist as well as sourcing antiques for Antique Brand, Dig Haüshizzle.
